Job Description
Under direct supervision, performs highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and trouble-shooting work involved with mechanical and hydraulic systems, including welding and cutting and improves upon designs of existing machinery and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
- Adheres to safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and Company safety policies & procedures such as LOTO & Arc Flash and other safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
- Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance in all areas of the Plant including industrial equipment, mechanical and hydraulic power systems, mechanical drives, and the repair and installation of operations and maintenance equipment.
- Troubleshoots Mechanical drives and manufacturing equipment.
- Welds, Cuts, and fabricates parts for equipment installations.
- Performs Preventive & Predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Prepares various reports and documents details of work performed based on company requirements.
- Available to work rotating shifts including weekend and Overtime.
- Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
- Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Trade or technical school diploma (Including Welding, Blue Print Reading, Hydraulics, and Mechanical Training)
- Certified Welder in areas of Plate, 3G and other certifications preferred
- 5 year experience in an industrial environment performing related work
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:
- Mechanical aptitude necessary for fulfillment of job requirements
- Detail orientated, able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- With a positive attitude towards your work and maintain positive working relationship
- Ability to interface with computers and efficient at problem solving.
- Ability to work at elevated heights
