As part of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in assembling and installing modular units at various job sites, contributing to the future of construction with cutting-edge techniques that streamline building processes and reduce waste.

Z Modular is seeking skilled and reliable General/Mateline Constructors to join our dynamic team. You will be working on our Greater Phoenix job sites, assisting in the construction and assembly of modular units.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate hand and power tools to assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of modular units.
  • Install components and fixtures according to project specifications at construction sites.
  • Perform finishing, repair work, and preparation of surfaces.
  • Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Communicate material needs and any issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain full-time, predictable attendance as an essential part of the role.  

Work Hours:

  • General hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (subject to change based on jobsite needs).
  • Weekends: May be required, particularly on Saturdays.
  • Overtime: 1.5x hourly rate after 40 hours worked. Current workload requires 50-55 hours per week.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $23.00/hour, based on experience.
  • Overtime: 1.5x regular pay for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a construction environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Commitment to safety standards.

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted at various job sites in the Greater Phoenix area, with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and dust.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses will be provided and must be worn.
